Shanghai Jinyou Jinhong Wire & Cable Co., Ltd. was established on December 30, 2006, with its business 100% focused on special cables for the new energy industry.

On April 27, 2010, Shanghai Jinyou Jinhong Intelligent Electric Co., Ltd. successfully obtained China’s first photovoltaic cable certification, marking its official entry into the photovoltaic industry and the beginning of a new chapter in its journey within the new energy sector. This milestone breakthrough not only demonstrates Jinyou Jinhong’s outstanding strength in the photovoltaic cable industry but also injects strong momentum into the vigorous development of China’s photovoltaic industry.

On August 14, 2014, the company was successfully listed on the National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ), with the stock code “830994.”

On December 31, 2014, the company’s first intelligent prefabricated photovoltaic substation was officially put into operation, marking its successful entry into the electrical industry. This groundbreaking achievement not only highlights the company’s outstanding capabilities in intelligent electrical technology but also sets a new benchmark for the deep integration of new energy and smart grid development.

On June 8, 2016, the first domestic industry standard for "Cables for Photovoltaic Power Generation Systems" NB/T 42073-2016 was released, bringing unprecedented standardization and vitality to the photovoltaic cable field.

In May 2017, the company established the New Energy Vehicle Cable Division and entered the new energy automotive field.

In December 2019, the company was awarded the title of the first batch of "Specialized and Innovative Little Giants" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, which indicates that the company's outstanding innovation capabilities and professional level in the cable industry have been recognized by national authorities.

The third-generation photovoltaic cable will be launched on the market in 2023. The high-flame retardant B1 and B2 photovoltaic cables have passed the national appraisal, and the multifunctional protective photovoltaic cable has passed the national appraisal. It won the third prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress and the Shanghai Intellectual Property Demonstration Pilot Enterprise.

On the morning of December 11, 2024, Saudi Arabia local time, the company's founder Pan Chenxi delivered an important speech on the topic of "Sago Desertification-specific Photovoltaic Cable" at the 16th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) (COP16), and joined the Tsinghua University-UNCCD REPER Project Department as a research partner.
